Actress Martha Plimpton has sparked controversy by saying she had her 'best abortion' at a clinic in Seattle.
The star, who shot to fame in 1985 in The Goonies, is a passionate abortion advocate and was taking part in a Q&A session at a #ShoutYourAbortion event in June when she made the comment.
It is only now causing uproar after footage of the remark was circulated online.
Addressing a crowd of supporters, Plimpton, who has spoken publicly of the two abortions she had as a young woman in the past, said at town hall session: 'Seattle has some particular significance for me for lots of reasons.
'I’ve got a lot of family here, some of whom are here in the audience tonight. 'I also had my first abortion here at the Seattle Planned Parenthood! Yay!'

As the audience cheered, she went on: 'Notice I said 'first'...and I don’t want Seattle — I don’t want you guys to feel insecure, it was my best one.
'Heads and tails above the rest. If I could Yelp review it, I totally would.
'And if that doctor’s here tonight, I don’t remember you at all, I was 19. I was 19, but I thank you nonetheless,' she said, as the crowd cheered.

It’s a desperate cry for help, filled with tremendous regret and pain that she cannot admit to herself.
This “woman” was on the TV series “Raising Hope” amongst others.
Keith Carradine is her father, but she uses her mother’s maiden name of Plimpton.
Her comments about abortion are disgusting.
So she shouts her abortion louder and louder hoping to believe her own words. But the demons keep tormenting her and there is no relief.
I believe it, and stories like that can be repeated thousands of times. And the media will never tell you.

Well she is an actor. Is there any lesser form of humanity than that?
Just a sad situation. She is 48. She is all but certainly beyond child bearing age and much like similar harpy Chelsea Handler, she will spend her remaining years childless and almost certainly unloved.
However, she did keep an almost irrelevant career, forgettable and insignificant. So she has that.

That concerns me also. While I unreservedly hate what she has done, I shudder to think what she will say when confronted by the living God, the God of Life. I shall pray for her however reluctantly.

Very troubled family, like a lot of showbiz families.
Even 30 years later, every once in awhile I will remember my unborn child, and let out the tears, feeling a deep pain and longing. It left a hole in my heart forever. I wish they were here. Even if you have received God’s forgiveness, and come to terms with the fact you are not the person you were as a teenager, you will suffer with the choice you made for the rest of your natural life.
Butt ugly, untalented and soulless is no way to go through life.
