Doesn’t change the math. Most of the people who hear complaining they can’t afford a movie are doing so on a new laptop with the previous one less than two years old. The middle class has always had to budget, problem is we’ve got 3 generations in this country now who all believe that’s a 4 letter word and won’t have anything to do with it.

Hell, I don’t have a cellphone. That’s 80 bucks a month right into my 401K. 7 year old laptop, 5 year old Mac. No worries.

As a family head, what gets me is what other families spend on their children. Maybe I'm nuts, but I don't think it is my problem that my teen thinks they need a cell phone plan. If they want a plan THEY can pay for it. Somehow I made it in one piece through the 1980s without a cell phone.
