Word For The Day, Monday, 8/28/17

In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of "Word for the Day".

incogitant; adj.

1.

thoughtless; inconsiderate.

2.

not having the faculty of thought.

Etymology: C17: from Latin incōgitāns, from in- 1 + cōgitāre to think

Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the Word for the Day in a sentence.
The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day.

The Review threads are linked for your edification. ;-)
Practice makes perfect.....post on....

Still slipping around, just not as often!

My life got really busy! Miss all of you, though!

Hugs!

Just saw this one for your WFTD!

“German nurse killed 83 patients.”. Breaking news right now. I forgot how to bring this article in here.

I guess this male nurse acted incogitantly (sorry about the adverb) because he enjoyed rescusitating people! So this nurse, I would consider to be a nasty person, eh?

Word for the day haiku:

The double standards
of the incogitant press
insult the public.

2. not having the faculty of thought

Ironic twist in this definition, as academe is replete with incogitant instructors who are incontinent with Liberal logorrhea…

Having lived in California for 40 years, I may have been an incogitant person. Sometimes you could not tell if a person was male/female or female/male.

As a former Californian now living in Brooklyn, NY, I had been pretty incogitant as far as the liberal changes sweeping the borough.

Just yesterday, right outside the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens, I saw a man in a dress walking a dog. It was then that I realized, "Whoa! This place has gone full-blown San Francisco."

Just got in from work-my compadre and I were talking about how most of Houston has a major dumbass attack every time there is a hurricane/tropical storm/flood event of any kind-you’d think such a thing had never happened there before...

Why is it that every hurricane
That makes landfall on a shore
Has people freaking out as if
It has never happened before?

It brings out so many clueless
From incogitant to the dumb
Who always stand in the water
Waiting for some help to come

They do it each time it floods-
Even if they hear someone say
When you live near the coast
And a hurricne comes-get away...

T5’sguy and I were talking on the phone last night, and I said something about the general clueless factor-in terms I can’t repeat here-his comment was well darlin’, sometimes you just can’t fix stupid...

"Oops! “Hurricane”..."

Well, if they can have a "Sharknado", we should be able to counter it with a "hurracne".

And then the sequel would be "Hissacne".

This could be a continuing series.
