Oh, well if snopes says it’s false it’s false.
Settled cyence...
Snopes is false from top to bottom.
Rgardless if the story is true or not (I personally think it isn’t) the sentiment behind Trump’s remarks are what count.
Be unmerciful with the bastards.
There was a similar tale about a British general(?) in India, which then included what today is Pakistan and Bangladesh, about Muslim terrorists and train attacks.
He supposedly put pig fat lard all over the tracks and train engine and cars and the attacks stopped.................
It is a good story, even if it is not literally true. Trumps was making a valid point about how to defeat the enemy.
Snopes isn’t the only one debunking this.
I’d sooner trust 0bozo than I’d trust Snopes
If Trump said it, it’s false. /s
The only statement in the President’s tweet was: “There was no more Radical Islamic Terror for 35 years!”
What does snopes have to say about that statement? Probably nothing because they are too lazy to do real research.
Snopes’s proof it is “false” are actual accounts that something like it happened but nobody knows for sure what exactly happened and who did it.
Snopes has no proof it never happened, all they can say is they don’t know for sure.
Isn’t this story from early last year?
I heard the stories about General BlackJack Pershing executing Muslims back when I was a boy and that was a long time ago. The stories have been around for years.
It can neither be debunked nor proven- or it would have been long ago.
This is even sillier than arguing over whether Washington confessed to chopping down the cherry tree.
Just completely dilatory and misleading.
Whether it’s true or not, sounds like a good diversion - now the MSM will spend a week debunking this, interviewing scholars on General Pershing and seeking the opinion of his current day descendants, and mocking Trump for believing a myth. “Should a man so gullible be in the WH?”
Overall it’s more benign than Charlottesville 24/7.
I’m more favoring of Vlad’s method myself......
Here is a FR thread on this subject dated 10/07/2001. Interesting to read the FR comments.

The main ingredient in Pershing’s bullets that stopped the Musselmen was LEAD!
Lead and the willingness to use them until they retreated or were all killed.
Works very well.
