Priorities...
Headline is protein. I read/heard there was way more to it than just that but hey............
Proteins?? More probably STEROIDS.
Wow she was quite attractive... I pictured a female incredible hulk...
sad to die for such a silly reason...
A normal, healthy person, can eat upwards of 2-3gr of protein per kilo of bodyweight with ZERO ill effects. And that's BEFORE you start augmenting with chemistry.
um.. misleading.
she died because she had a rare genetic condition that didn’t allow her body to break down protein completely.
She had a rare disease that stops your body from breaking down the protein and causes to much ammonia to build up in the body..
Headline is sensational. Yeah, protein... and then the disclosure that she had a rare genetic condition that didn’t allow her body to digest protein. So yeah, protein, but really a genetic defect, unfortunately.
How about people need to use a little common sense and listen to what their body is trying to tell them.
It really isn't the fault of the supplement manufacturer that this woman had an undiagnosed disease.
I had no idea protein could kill.
The woman didn’t use simple, common sense-as in all things in moderation-and now her nanny mother wants to regulate everyone’s purchases of supplements just because...
I’m committed to a natural lifestyle, I do take supplements and vitamins, eat unprocessed food and I work out a few times per week to keep fit and better able to do physical work without injury-and I would bet real money that this woman didn’t just die from too much protein or the ability to process it-steroids were probably heavily in the mix...
Did she eat anything else...like veggies or mostly protein?
From the article:
“Upon her death, doctors discovered Hefford had been living with a rare disorder urea cycle disorder which stops the body from being able to break down protein.”
Fake news. They don’t say how much protein she ate.
White (the deceased girl's mom) believes the supplements and shakes were purchased online where there are not enough restrictions, which she wants to end.
And this is how it goes. The girl had a disease. Protein supplements didn't kill her, the disease killed her.
