Ezekiel Elliott of the Dallas Cowboys was notified today by the NFL that he will be suspended without pay for the team's first six 2017 regular-season games for violating the league's Personal Conduct Policy.

Over the course of the last year, the league conducted an extensive investigation. League investigators interviewed more than a dozen witnesses, including Ms. Tiffany Thompson, who had alleged multiple instances of physical violence in July 2016, and Mr. Elliott. The league also consulted with medical experts. League investigators examined all available evidence, including photographic and digital evidence, thousands of text messages and other records of electronic communications.

Pursuant to the Personal Conduct Policy, Commissioner Goodell sought the views of four external advisors (see below) to assist him in evaluating potential violations. These experts range in experience from law enforcement, judicial and public service, and other specialized subject areas.

Even Urban Meyer of all people had to sit him down and tell him to ‘knock it off.’

Martavis Bryant of the Steelers just got re-instated late Wednesday. He smoked dope and was suspended for a year and has not been re-instated until Wednesday so on top of the year suspension, he’s missed half of training camp.

Now, I’m not an advocate of smoking dope, but in the grand scheme of things, it’s a minor crime and look how long it took for the Steelers to get him back. Goodell is out of control IMO.

...but Brady was railroaded.

The league's statement on the Giants/Steelers deflation incident last year all but proved that. The Park Ave. cowards couldn't bury it fast enough.

I got tired of his ‘Feed Me’ routine, real quick last season.

It’s so juvenile......................

Hope it stands. Game 6 is vs. the 49ers. Probably won’t.

The NFL hates the Cowboys. They have hated them since they called themselves America’s team in the 70’s.

Which is why they lead the league in suspensions.

NFL this year alone has pretty much said we don’t want the Cowboys to have any Defensive lineman, so they just suspend them all.

The NFL hates the Cowboys

Funny, considering that games involving the Cowboys pull in the highest ratings by far.

I thought I had read that she got in a fight with another girl (bruises) and that her texts where exposed between 2 other friends of hers where she was telling them to lie to police and lawyers..

No idea if true - but if that info is out there won’t be any lawsuit.

Also if true - the NFLPA will crush this suspension.

It’s evolving in NFL atm. They know usage is somewhere between 50 to 95%. NFL tests all players 1 time per year on known date. Only if you fail that does the player get out into multitesting per year. Extremely mixed opinion among owners and coaches about mj usage. I predict testing completely stops on next union contract. They haVe already raised the pass/fail detection threshold making it harder to fail the mj test than it was 2 years ago.

And the NFL knows it. They had to look tough here to justify the amount of time they spent on this investigation.

Eventually, pot will be allowed in all sports. Just a matter of time.

Under Goodell, suspensions are based if they are Goodell’s special teams. Players from New England, Baltimore, and Seattle, will get less suspensions. Dallas is in the middle group, so they get middle suspensions. If Elliot were on the Patriots or Seahawks, he could have only gotten two weeks suspension.

But, first and foremost, Goodell is property of Robert Kraft.

The offensive line is what makes great running backs.

Again ... no worries.
