Martin seems to be on vacation, so I thought I'd start the thread.
I wonder if they got the idea for that weasly worm from McConnell or Ryan.
“the look on Tyrions face”
Yes, and Jaime’s as well.
Both Tyrion & Jaime are essentially moral men - who are not interested in causing suffering. Either one of them would make a fine ruler.
And speaking of the Dothracki - what pastime will these warriors be left to pursue if peace is achieved in the Seven Kingdoms?
I think that bringing in all three dragons would result in a lot of friendly fire. Unridden dragons are great for destroying ships when the only ships around are enemy ships, but unless they are directed, they will just go to town.
I think that this sets up a total isolation for Ciersi at the end of the season... Jaime and Dickon get house arrest in Casterly Rock and High Garden, respectively. The Dothrakis relieve the siege at High Garden, and maybe the extra dragons destroy Eurion’s ships. Edmuir takes over the Twins and marches from the Northwest... I would like to see Bronn take some shock troops to the dungeons to rescue his beloved from Dorne (and her mom) and have the Dornish army coming from the South. Maybe he also rescues the Septa and she starts an internal protest. Cool beans!
Indeed.
And I don't know if they will emphasize it (it's more of a book thing) but much of Arya's training in Braavos was about lying well to people and detecting other people's lies. I think the idea is that you cannot fool a Faceless Man. So both Bran and Arya can see right through Littlefinger. Sansa may not have skills quite as developed, but she doesn't trust Littlefinger at all, so that protects her almost as well.
I was just reading the trivia section of Game of thrones on IMDB.....this link......

Anyway, I thought this was interesting about how fans treat Lena Headey...
“Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey) was voted by fans as the series’ most hated character. Headey has said that she is often the victim of fans who direct their hatred towards her character to her personally. People frequently call her names both on-line and in public, and at fan conventions, she is more than often shunned. She claimed that during an autograph session at Comic Con, people were actually snatching their books from her hands to prevent her from signing it.”
I find that very telling because it shows that it takes very little to get someone to dislike a public figure, even if is entirely fictitious, just by how that figure is portrayed in the media whether it be news media or entertainment really controls how the public reacts. It explains a lot of how Trump gets so much hate while someone who is truly evil like Hillary is celebrated.
About Ser Jaime charging Drogon and Danaerys with his lance at the end, Wikipedia says this:
Coster-Waldau also stated about his character, "Jaime is such an idiot that he thinks for a second, 'If I can do this, I can win the whole thing in a 'Hail Mary.'"
Personally, I think this hearkens back to Season 1 where Robert Baratheon was discussing War Stories with Ser Barristan Selmy and Jaime. Apparently, the first man Robert ever killed was at the Battle of Summerhall.
Some Tarly boy. Came running at me, thinking he could end the rebellion with a single swing of his sword. I knocked him down with the hammer. Gods, I was strong then! Probably shattered every rib he had. Just before I brought the hammer down he shouted, Wait! Wait! Hmmppfff! They dont tell you how they all $#!+ themselves when they die. They leave that part out of the songs.
Note also that an earlier conversation in the latest episode, between Jaime, Bronn and Dickon Tarly, covered the same aspect of battle. Dickon remarked that battle smelled worse than he expected. Bron remarked: You mean all the $#!+? They leave that part out of the songs, dont they? (or something like that).
And there, at the end, is Ser Jaime trying to win the whole thing with single thrust of his lance. Didnt work out that time either.
"Dickon"
Bronn: LOLOL!
She may not get Jaime’s face if he sinks to the bottom of that lake.
“hearkens back to Season 1”
Agreed - Arya & Sansa in the crypt at their father’s grave commenting on the poor likeness of the carving: “everyone who knew him was dead”
There was eye to eye contact with Littlefinger and Arya, and he doesn’t fool her a bit either. My bold and fearless prediction is that she’s going to kill him.
Going out with nary a whimper?
I would be vastly disappointed if they made this is the end of Jamie. Seems highly unlikely...
Dracarys destroyed it after being hit by the second volley. That and a lot of Lannister troops with it.
“I think they got it exactly right ...Daenerys Targaryen is a PO’d 16 y/o girl on a dragon”
Chuckles...you know what? You’re right.
Me to, I was ‘just sayin’. But I bet he loses that heavy metal hand.
Sorry, I meant the siege at Westerly Rock.
“Dracarys destroyed it after being hit by the second volley”
You’re right of course.
I seem to recall however, that Maester Qyburn “had a lot of craftsman working on this (these?)” - which left me thinking that more than one was built.
