A star of the 1980s hit TV show The Dukes of Hazzard was barred from performing in a local production of 42nd Street yesterday after he was charged with sexually assaulting a fellow actor in the musical and authorities say she is not the only woman in the cast who has complained.
Tom Wopat, 65, of New York and Nashville, pleaded not guilty to indecent assault and battery and drug possession yesterday, a day after he was arrested on a warrant moments after leaving the theater at Waltham High School.

I knew Roscoe and Boss Hogg would catch up with them Duke boys someday!
If he had grabbed a boy’s buttocks they would be running him for governor of Massachusetts.
Since he is now out of the show, maybe they can bring in one of the Duke “cousins” to fill his place as they did when the actor’s strike hit Dukes of Hazzard years ago.
Anyone remember that?
The Wopat arrest is an example of Police Profiling as the General Lee must stick out like a sore thumb in Waltham, Massachusetts.
Coy and Vance.
LOL! Well played.
Met him at wife’s Christmas party a few years ago... a total and complete @hole...
John was a super nice guy.. I was surprised at the difference...
Boss Hogg and Rosco always suspected that the Duke boys were running cocaine up north and selling at Yankee high schools.
“Last Saturday, the woman told police she was at rehearsal at the high school on July 23, when he walked behind her and grabbed her buttocks.”
It was Cooter who taught the Duke boys how to check her oil.
I guess Uncle Jesse's moonshine just wasn't selling anymore...
Moving right along.
The Waltham District Attorney later said all charges would be dropped after Wopat evaded a high speed pursuit and crossed the county line. The DA was quoted as saying, “Everybody knows that’s the rules, you flee from the police and cross the county line, we have to drop all charges.”
Running meth up north in the General Lee would have been far too obvious.
Women are actresses.
65, doing dinner theater in high-schools and feeling up women 1/3 his age? How sad.
Nicely done.
“Women are actresses.”
And what were the bags of coke?
