I really wanted to sleep another hour, but the laundry called to me: “Get up, you slug-a-bed!”

Somehow I didn't save my alarm when setting it last night but I woke up about 4 minutes before it was set to go off anyway.

But my head hurts.

It turns out our rain gauge shows centimeters, so we actually got less than two inches. Who makes a centimeter rain gauge in the U.S.? That’s just crazy.

The Drama Queen driving lesson was a success. She drove us around the block three times, without incident, and nicely parked us by the curb in front of the Carters’ house, not on their grass.

It arrived one time. I will look at it in a minute.

If I have something important to do and set my alarm, even if I remember to save it, I often wake up about 15 minutes before it’s supposed to ring. I’ve always done that, even from when I was a very short person.

Yesterday was the “headache” day for me, though it didn’t manifest itself as a headache, I was still “hungover.”

Thanks! And I’m home, now.

Got home to see Patrick’s brother’s truck gone and my apartment smelling like a bar, even with the door open.

Even if his brother has gone back, I’m still going to be faced with getting two filters a month. (They’re supposed to last three months.) It’s the only way I can cut down on the nebulizer meds.

Back from my shopping, pages to Asuncion, then had lunch, then over to church with Tom to meet with the ladies who will make the food for his Eagle ceremony, and now I’m going to have some Naptime.

I got a “paint your own toy horses” kit for Kathleen at T.J. Maxx, and she and Sally are painting horses. Tom took Frank to Baskin Robbins: Frank has a gift card that Mom gave him at his First Communion, and I gave Tom some money. Elen phoned and said she’ll be home this evening.

I redid the letter, but I’ll send it to Eddie the Attorney before I send it back for a final edit.

It would seem that some time in the last 24 hours, Patrick’s brother has gone back to AZ. Or maybe he’s getting his truck repaired, due the noise the tappets have been making.

Since this is laundry day, I wasn’t very comfy sitting on the bench at the ramada with Charlie. Some days, I just can’t wait for the mail. Today is one of those days, and now, I need to go make the bed.

Please, next time, send it west when you're done with it, not east.

Thank you in advance.

The horse-painting kit has produces horses of a variety of colors not found, on horses, in nature. Naptime was pretty nice. Frank didn’t buy James a doughnut, but I slept through the tantrum that resulted. Now, I think, James and Frank have gone down the street to play with their friend.

Elen is supposed to be home this afternoon, but she’s not here yet. I may celebrate the strange quiet by going to Walmart. Later, when my brain’s all functioning so I can speak Spanish without major errors, I’ll call Blanquita, the person who makes cakes.

On another note, it seems that I lost another hard drive - this time the one that WinDoze slaps its backup on.

It was an old drive with a lot of hours so this is not all that surprising. Just means I need to invest in some new drives instead of salvaging used drives from one of the various older boxes in the, um, project area..

In the meantime to keep WinDoze from nagging me constantly I pointed WinDoze Backup to a smaller drive as a temp ‘fix’.

Wow. The various offspring have managed to entertain themselves quite well, it seems.

I’m very tired. I’m going to take a nap, but this one is liable to last all night.

Zeke sent me a text earlier, saying he “heard” from SNRHA, but is trying to tease me by not telling me anything until tomorrow morning at 0500. I wanted to sleep in, but that ain’t gonna happen, now.

So I’m outta here for today.

Ta

This might not be an option with CFIDS, but have you considered washable filters? They use electrostatic charge to capture the gunk and then you rinse them with a hose, let them dry, and you're back to square one.

Maxx, and she and Sally are painting horses.

If any of them paints a target on the horse it's time to worry.

Either that or teach them to hunt.

Is James applying to the Police Academy or something?

I got a 256GB thumb drive at a pretty good price. You can get 3TB drives for a song these days (well, a relative song). No sense putting important stuff on old hardware.

I can remember when 40MB was a very large Hard Drive and an unimaginable amount of RAM.

They would not do that. They are very fond of animals.

Noted the eBay price on a 3tb (about $65). Main drive is 2tb, and failed one is 1tb. Debating on whether to get another 1tb for cheap or spend the approximate $15 more and get a 3tb. Two WinDoze backups from now it will be nagging me about no space on the small drive so I have that long to figure out a plan of action.

The 2tb main drives (main and data) are what they classed as 'enterprise grade' but the failed one was just your common drive and was the data drive from the previous build so it had some operating hours on it.

Way back when in the days before MS-DOS 5 my office machine had a gigantic 15mb hard drive and monstrous 640mb of ram. (The machine actually had DOS 3.3 but I couldn't find a catchy video for it.. ;-)
