"What is a “gimme cap”?" Lol, it's an Oil Patch term; the numerous service salesmen who go out to the rigs often pass out baseball caps with their company logo embossed on the front to the hands working on the rigs. So, here in Texas the term has evolved to mean any type of free cap is referred to as a "gimme cap". As in gimme that cap! 😊
