Thanks for that info. I know that I can’t stop updates but I’m trying to find an update for the driver of the adapter.
It’s a Realtek RTL8723BE 802.11 bgn Wi-Fi Adapter.
I can’t find anything for it. There are some generic drive sites that claim they have the drive but I don’t want to download their downloader just to get it. I checked Realtek’s site and they have drivers listed under that search result but the models don’t match in the list.
I updated two laptops to Creators and have had no core issues, but I have run into some compatibility problems w/ two third party software programs (RedOxygen Office SMS and Bose SoundTouch). Have kept to v. 1607 on my main workhorse and with the exception of one Office update which impacted all my machines (email search errors, now fixed w/ latest update) have had no troubles w/ regular updates.
Creators has some great features, so looking forward to the official update for my desktop, but I will get there slowly as they work out the kinks.
I saw somewhere that MS is moving OEMS to system-only drivers, which ought to minimize these types of problems.
