To improve their individual pay, NFL players need to improve their collective pay. To improve their collective pay, they need to be willing to strike.
If we want to get anything done, players have to be willing to strike, Sherman said at Wednesday nights ESPYs in L.A., via Deadspin.com. Thats the thing that guys need to 100 percent realize. Youre going to have to miss games, youre going to have to lose some money if youre willing to make the point, because thats how MLB and NBA got it done.

Maybe this will be a campaign issue: equal pay to MLB and NBA.

You also have to realize you’re replaceable, because it’s happened before.

Yeah, and the NHL players took it right up the shorts.

The NFL has never been more popular among common folks so this is probably the best time ever to strike so go ahead players...call a strike. We're all behind ya!

That is exactly what the NFL needs this year, with no Colin K. to disrupt their remaining viewers. I hope the players do it.

Fans are going to discover they have better things to do with their lives. No doubt they will ditch the football attire and memorabilia too.

Too late - the fans already did.

Maybe the union will kill the NFL the way militant, uncompromising unions killed Eastern Airlines and the Los Angeles Herald Examiner and New York World Journal Tribune newspapers.

Perfect time to strike. I didn’t watch a game last year and didn’t miss it a bit. Maybe you’ll piss off a few of the folks that still watched last year. Let’s keep dropping those ratings.

I am done with the NFL. If they strike they should spend the time looking for a new career.
