Some progress on your Missouri plot. I have a few ‘maters but some of the blooms are falling off. We had a rainy June here in N. Tx but the summer scorch is just up ahead. Them maters will hibernate until Sept then.
Shade cloth might help. We had an unusual hot, dry and scorching summer a few years back. I had to water a little more often, and took an old sheet to set up a makeshift shade. It worked pretty good.
