I have lost all my tunes twice over the past several years; once through hard drive failure and once because I changed my email address. In both cases, because the suppliers require a specific login or download code, they were all lost.
I am looking for a service that allows you to buy a tune, download it to hard drive, and then have it available to you with no special code or login so I can simply put them on Windows Media Player. Any help is appreciated.

CDs have higher resolution than iTunes/MP3.
Hi-Rez digital downloads offer the highest resolution - many darn close to master tape - but require appropriate software and DAC for playback.
“McAfee found the Artemis malware...”
Interesting - neither Avira nor Symantec detected it.
Thanks.
This interests me, and I’ve got a question:
Is it *legal* to download YouTube stuff through sites like YouTubeMP3?
A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away, I worked with Copyright issues. At that time, it was legal to make one ‘copy’ of anything, for personal, not-for-sale, use. But I don’t know how this eventually translated to digital stuff.
I’m not much interested in music, in this respect - I purchase that. But there are lots of things on YouTube, like lectures, sermons, Ted Talks, etc., that I would like to convert to MP3 and be able to listen to throughout the day, on my little MP3 player. I’ve just been afraid to do it, because I’m not sure of the regulations governing this...(???)
*No* idea.
I save videos that have a habit of disappearing, like Alice Cooper’s original video for “Sick Things”, that cannot be found anywhere, now.
Stuff like that.
Thanks to all for suggestions. I got a youtube music downloader and yes, most tunes are on youtube.
