I was hoping for a Han Solo/Lando Action Comedy which would basically be Lethal Weapon in Space (but with crooks instead of cops). Seems like the original team of Lord/Miller went too far with the comedy I suppose. Ron Howard is a solid director though I don’t know why he would step in for 3 weeks worth of shooting on a film he had no input on before hand. Id rather Ron do an entire Star Wars movie himself.

It'd be interesting to see if he tried to sneak in any American Graffiti references. An alien with a Wolfman Jack cut to his facial hair, perhaps (well, everyone would read that as a jab at Lucas, these days...)
