And the coverage they get is better than most of the people paying taxes and paying for their own insurance get.

100% free everything. They can even get free taxi rides to the doctor! It’s wrong to take money away from people working hard to provide for their families and give it to people that aren’t providing for their families—while giving those that don’t pay better healthcare coverage.

This will drive even the paying class to demand single payer...when the freeloaders are getting better benefits than the working class it’s completely broken.

And most of these enrolled NEVER paid into ANY of our medical programs. Really unfair to those that have....because they are paying for it all. Massive freeloading.

That’s a lot of money for insurance companies.

Increasing the Medicaid rolls was one of the stated goals of Obamacare under the guise of increasing the number of “newly insured”.

They met and exceeded their goal of at least 50% of the “newly insured” coming form increases in those on Medicaid, even with some States opting out of relaxing their Medicaid eligibility requirements.

By their own measure of success, Obamacare has been an outstanding success.

For the rest of us, not so much.

Even for those “newly insured” under Medicaid it hasn’t been that great. They have a hard time getting a GP or an appointment in a reasonable time frame, so they turn up as before at the ER for treatments that either could have been treated at a regular clinic or doctor, or for situations that were not originally acute but became acute while waiting to see a doctor.

So, YEAH! they are “newly insured” but that has not translated into better health care, or even any health care for some.

Still, we have millions more “newly insured” so that’s counted as success (by their measure).

About 24% of the US population on Medicaid, assuming a total population of 315 million.

We’ve had previous stats stating that in one in four US families, no one has a job. And also, one in five US heads of household is on one or more government, means tested poverty programs.

If we define unemployed as anyone who needs a non-government source of income to support themselves and their dependents, but doesn’t have one, then our true unemployment rate is around 20%.

In an honest computation of the unemployment rate, the adults on government welfare and other poverty programs would be the first ones counted as unemployed

The left will go to war to save Obamacare. The health and insurance industries need reform and government needs to stay out of it. Unfortunately we now own Obamcare. Stupid a** GOP.

75M on Medicaid, 44M on Medicare, 9 M on VA health care.

Almost half the country — mostly the ones who need it most — on government-funded health care. Although they need it most, they get the worst. Huge problem!
