The democrats have a serious national leadership problem. The current crop is old, washed up, and way out on the fringe. In national elections, unelectable. Warren, Schumer, Pelosi, Clinton, Sanders all fit that bill.

Ellison is a fringe candidate; he would be crushed in a national election.

They may try a young face like Kamala Harris from California; the “second coming” of Barky. It’s probably their best bet to turn the party over to her. But the old guard will not give up power easily; they will die before they turn the party over to a Harris.

The democrats are the “Party of Lenin” and they have gone the way his party did in the Brezhnev Era; just a bunch of old apparatchiks holding power while their edifice crumbles.

You may be right, they may feel desperate enough to run Kamala Harris, but I do believe deep down that they have been preparing Terry McAuliffe (governor of Virginia) to run, “it’s his turn.”

The left has been focus grouping him and his strengths and weaknesses for about a year now — Whether to tie him to Obama or not...Talk about his relationship with the Clinton’s or not, this is all very calculated.

Watch for them to trot him out in early 2018 in Iowa, if the left does that, you know he is their guy.

The bottom line with him is, they won’t be able to run away from his rabid anti 2nd amendment views...He will lose all the states that Trump won, even if Pence is running for president and Trump.

That is just my opinion.

...the old guard will not give up power easily; they will die before they turn the party over to a [Kamala] Harris.

Why not? The old guard Dems rejected Clinton in 2007, and turned their party over to a virtually unknown up-and-comer named Barack Obama, whose radical brand of leftist idealism they liked better.

Kamala Harris shares his hard left, progressive ideology, and is following in his footsteps. She's a good fit for the radical fringe that has taken over the Democrat party. I think she'd get a lot of support from the party if she ran.
