Lighten up! You'll give yourself a heart attack!
Super heroes are timeless. Superman, Green Lantern, Flash, Wonder Woman and Batman were all invented in the 1930's and 1940's. They were the entertainment of the greatest generation. I see teenagers and small children wearing super hero logo clothing that they have no idea of the origins of. It is really quite gratifying to know that my parents were young when this stuff started out, and my grandchildren are enjoying it today. I don't think that continuing a tradition 80 years old is infantile at all. It honors the people of the time.
I think that who_would_fardels_bear’s comment about infantilism is referring to the fact that there are actual adults who go to watch this drivel.
Of course, with the themes that they mix into these stupid movies, I would not want children to see them either.
