If you've ever had an inexplicable love for a song that's just strange, post a link to it here. Should be amusing and entertaining for a Saturday night.
The link is to Mason Williams playing “Classical Gas” on the Smothers Brothers Show?
Hilarious sendup of classic Shatner overacting.

There are a number of fans of Die Antwoord here on FR, believe it or not, so it might not be as freaky as U fink.
Frank Zappa must’ve seemed like he was from another planet in his era, but I have a number of friends who are classically trained musicians and they all absolutely love them some Zappa.
I love it.
This is the first time I heard it, I tend to agree. It’d definitely goofy and fun.
No idea!
I could comment on just about every contribution to this topic - thanks for yours.
Nice voice, a very warm and personable performance with comical subject matter, I’ve never heard of Billy Edd Wheeler but he reminds me of Pete Seeger.
Pete Seeger - The Big Rock Candy Mountain
Dang, she’s good!
I know that song and video very well, have actually posted it here on FR several times. I could watch Les Claypool on that four string all day. I actually like the possessed plastic cowboy thing, think it was inspired, lol.
Zappa seems to be winning the loved weird song thread.
Frank Zappa - Call Any Vegetable
I’ve always liked that song despite the very odd lyrics. I’ve actually met Morrissey, we ended up calling him Morbissey.
The Smiths - Girlfriend In A Coma
This is the first time I heard it, I tend to agree. It’s definitely goofy and fun.
Shonen Knife - Burning Farm
Sonic Youth (with Kim Deal formerly of The Breeders and The Pixies) - Little Trouble Girl
I’ve long loved Sonic Youth and this song in particular. Thanks for posting it.
Pink Floyd - Several Species Of Animals Gathered Together In A Cave And Grooving With A Pict
