The left loved Trump until he decided to run for President.
I wonder if Hillary ever gave him his campaign donations back?
There were a lot more Federalists I'm sure.
I have been unfriended twice (so far). One an old Coworker I had know for over 20 Years and one of my old Vendors.
My crime was responding to their idiotic Liberal Friends. Not being mean, just correcting their fantasies point by point.
After that happened, I moderated my responses to a third old Coworker and the Posts of his Friends.
After about a Month, I rescinded my self imposed moderation and decided I would go full bore or just close up my Fakebook Shop.
Full bore it is. If you don’t give it like you get it, the forces of Evil have full control of the Narrative.
I could just quit Fakebook, but is an avenue to keep in touch with Friends and Family from years past. They all know what to expect from me. LOL
Spot on. Leftists practice their own version of taqiyya all the time, especially when they pretend to be open, tolerant, and your friend. They are none of the above.
There was plenty of hate expressed here on FR but I know what you mean. It was orders of magnitude less. One measure is the level of profanity on both sides. We cuss here on our side but again orders of magnitude less. What all this reveals is the totalitarian core of the left. If you read about life in the old Soviet Union you found that politics permeated everything in life to an extent completely foreign to us here. Our leftists want to recreate that politics is everything world that was the old Soviet Union.
Didn’t that same Thomas Jefferson carry on a feud with John Adams, whom had formerly been a very close friend, as a result of a contentious presidential campaign?
LOL I hope I remember that.
He didn’t really speak about politics, but I know why he doesn’t want to go to Chick-Fil-A. To be honest, I don’t want to do business with liberals if I can help it.
We MUST speak out truthfully against evil to warn others.
11. Ezekiel 3:18-19 If I say to the wicked person, You will surely die, but you do not warn himyou dont speak out to warn him about his wicked way in order to save his lifethat wicked person will die for his iniquity. Yet I will hold you responsible for his blood. But if you warn a wicked person and he does not turn from his wickedness or his wicked way, he will die for his iniquity, but you will have saved your life.
12. Ephesians 5:11 Do not participate in the unfruitful deeds of darkness, but rather expose them.
My next door neighbors did that to us. Same crap. They had Hillary signs plastered all over the place and I had a Ted Cruz sign in my yard. When Trump won the nomination, they gloated how my guy got whipped by a game show host and how Hillary will destroy Trump. He might not even win Texas they gleefully mocked.
As the big day approached, we went to dinner a few times, talked about the kids, our pets, whether my neighbor was going to sell his gun collection now that Hillary was expected to win and implement the UN’s call for gun control. He just laughed and kept asking me why I would vote for a pu$$y grabber who went bankrupt 3 times? I kept telling him because at least he wasn’t a criminal who was married to a disbarred, impeached rapist. To which his wife would come back with “that’s irrelevant” and “Faux News” was lying.
Their party on election night was going to be the highlight of the year and all the lefty residents in my community made their way to my neighbors house to share in the glory of the first woman president. Getting my invitation so a house full of liberals could make fun of me, I replied, glad you don’t associate women with feminine or else that would already have been covered with Obama.
Needless to say, the next morning I didn’t call them to gloat. Neither my wife nor I had any hatred towards them because they preferred a crook to a businessman. Or that we now had the executive, legislative and were about to take the judiciary to go along with all the governorships and local legislators Republicans already had. Nope, we called them to see if they wanted to go out to dinner to discuss the kids, our pets, travel coming up.
It has now been 8 months. We sent them invitations to go out to dinner, a movie, whatever at least 5 times. Each time was a cold response of “we’re busy.” Where at least we would talk for a bit in the street about how we will get together next time, now every time I go outside and my neighbor is out there, instead of a fist bump and a “whatcha up to?” he goes into the garage and closes the door.
And that in a nutshell describes why liberalism is a mental disorder.
“He didnt really speak about politics, but I know why he doesnt want to go to Chick-Fil-A. To be honest, I dont want to do business with liberals if I can help it”
Every time you do business with a liberal, extend kindness, or support them in any way, their own funds go toward something else that you would probably detest. Don’t fall for it.
Sorry to hear that. Adult children just don’t know sometimes, what is precious in life.
My dear, former friend attacked me verbally the day after the election.
We tried to patch our relationship after a month of silence on both our parts, but the damage is done.
What I have never understood are people who use Facebook and spend a significant amount of time on their computers each day reading and posting messages on the Facebook pages of others, but who say they have no time to email their family and friends who don’t use Facebook (much less calling those people on the phone). Hello? If you are sitting at your computer posting messages on Facebook pages, you have got time to email a non-Facebook using friend or relative while sitting at that same computer.
I had a friend from childhood who loved him some Bedrock Obummer. He didn't like that I would disdainful speak of Obummer. Haven't talked to him in years.
Only down side is I can't watch his face go purple when I hate on Bummer!
Other than that, no big loss.
There’s not enough plaster in Paris to repair the cracks made. Once weakened, best forgotten.
It made me smile, too. :-)
“Since the election” are the key words. It shows that it’s not your opinions so much as the fact that your side won. Big babies who can’t stand to lose.
