This is off-topic, but have you noticed that we have 100 mediocre restaurants around here, including My Place?
I could handle Bleeker St Pizza, but I noticed I was paying thirty bucks for a pie, and it definitely was barely worth 20.
For GREAT pizza, go to or take out ( yes, they also deliver ) CAPRI PIZZA in Bethel.
For Chinese food ( we used to go to their place in Southbury, but they opened a place in Bethel a few years ago ) go to EMPIRE SZECHUAN.
Great Japanese food can be found at House of Yoshida; also in Bethel.
But there's NOTHING worth a damn in Newtown ( the old Hawelyville Inn wasn't great, but it was once decent...decades ago ), The Spinningwheel, in Ridgefield is long gone.
Supposedly, though a bit overpriced, the newish Barnwood Grill, next to Caraluzzi's and opposite My Place, is better than just okay.
