Warner Bros. superhero tentpole Wonder Woman held on to the top spot at the box office while Universal’s Tom Cruise-starring The Mummy reboot failed to unwrap big gains domestically as Hollywood’s bleak summer continued this weekend. Wonder Woman — starring Gal Gadot as the Amazonian princess-turned World War I peacekeeper — raked in $16 million Friday for an estimated $57.2 million weekend total in its second week of release, according to Box Office Mojo. The well-reviewed Patty Jenkins-directed film, with a 93 percent “fresh” rating on reviews aggregator Rotten Tomatoes, fell just 45 percent in its second weekend for a ten-day domestic total of $205 million. The film has fared even better overseas, with its international tally standing at $435 million.

Tom Cruise is box-office poison because his recent movies SUCK! And he has a nutty religion.

"Frankenstein is overdue for another remake"

You must have missed...

Mary Shelley's Frankenstein (1994)
I, Frankenstein (2014)
Frankenstein (2015)
Victor Frankenstein (2015)

And then there was Splice (2009), which wasn't a direct Frankenstein remake but certainly dealt with many of the same themes.

I saw the Mummy and thought it was mediocre but better than Wonder Woman. Wonder Woman was the first movie that I fell asleep during since James and the Giant Peach.

“Does he still lecture people about taking vitamins to combat post partum depression and other ills???”

I don’t know. I’d have to not change the channel anytime I see his face to find out.

He just creeps me out. Something about his eyes.
