Something still doesn't add up to me regarding Comey. Why did he make the statement he did about Hillary's emails a week before the election? What was to be gained, and who benefited?

It certainly did Hillary no favors. My tinfoil conspiracy theory is that the Deep State people maybe decided that Trump would be easier to control to their ends, and so Hillary needed to go. Or to expand that, damage her if she were elected, so they could control her some. So again, that is all tin foil hat stuff.

Otherwise, can someone give me a good reason why he dropped that stuff on Hillary, a week before the election?

The reason why he dropped the stuff on Hillary before the election HAD to be to save his own a$$. He was forced to. I don’t know why, but he was trapped from both sides and was trying to survive (either literally or legally). That much is clear.

The NYPD had the laptop and would have blown the situation sky high with the real information. Comey took control of the laptop and managed to ‘clear’ her before the election.
