So, it is possible to get your tagline hacked here on FR?

I always wondered how I got this strange tag line.
Kidding!

What’s your tagline? Or was it hacked already?

I’ve never stolen a tag line, but yes it is possible. There are no patents/copyrights on them.

Maybe it was my son. Sometimes he comes by and changes my tagline while my back is turned.

Oh, you meant that your tagline disappeared. Yes, I’ve had that happen. It was not hacked, it was my error.

Change your FR password frequently and DO NOT use the same password you’ve used elsewhere. The FR login page is not secure and your password is passed in cleartext. Anyone who sniffs the traffic could log in as you and do whatever they want.

I think it is possible. In fact, I think Putin hacked my own tagline.

My tagline was “Trump: Home of the Winner”. The previous 8 years was “Obama Home of the Whopper”. I had made some posts over the weekend that probably didn’t lend too well with my less than stellar reputation, so I figured my fellows Freepers took care of me.

I haven’t had mine hacked, but a couple of times when my cursor got moved, it ended up in the tagline section, and I was writing a comment there instead of in the reply section.

Worse than that, it happened in Indiana.

Next time you post, just put it back in, and it will show up. Also, when you start a thread as the first post, the tagline will not show. But when you post later in the thread, it will.
Might have something to do with the big downtime.
