re: “sloppy hit job”
That’s one thing that makes conspiracy theories look dubious, this was a shaky, unreliable way to “off” someone (he might have survived, and/or he might have talked to EMS/Police/hospital staff as long as he was still alive) — not a professional job at all. Even if someone wanted to make it “appear” to be other than a professional job, they would surely guarantee that he stopped breathing quickly (bullet in the heart or head), even if they made the crime scene look sloppy so it would not appear to be a “pro” involved.
It is strange that there seems to be no robbery motive (unless a robber panicked at unexpected resistance), but I find it difficult to credit assertions that this was any “professional” hit. For a pro this would be incompetence.
The case demands better & more competent, thorough investigation for sure, but I don’t see any good reason to accept that this was a “hit”....
They all make mistakes.
And they had duped themselves into believing Hillary would win the election. This could explain the sloppiness. Combine it with the report of Hillary’s comment last fall that they will hang from nooses if Trump wins.

Interesting. What if the real assasination was occur within a nearby local PRIVATE hospital with after the botched robbery and shooting?
Then, you could sell the robbery angle more plausibly.
