Synopsis: This is an anonymous source alert – and at least that’s more than either the Wash Post or the NYT has given you. A person on something called Boardnet – and within Boardnet, on something called - /pol/ - posted the following last Wednesday, May 17. “[I am a] 4th-year surgery resident here who rotated from WHC (Washington Hospital Center) last year, it won’t be hard to identify me but I feel that I shouldn’t stay silent.” ”Seth Rich was shot twice, with three total gunshot wounds (Entry and exit, and entry). He was taken to the OR emergency where we performed and exlap and found a small injury to segment three of the liver which was packed and several small bowel injuries (pretty common for gunshots in the back exiting the abdomen), which we resected—12 cm of bowel and left him in discontinuity (didn’t hook everything back up) with the intent of performing a washout in the morning. He did not have any major vascular injuries or otherwise. I’ve seen dozens of worse cases than this which survived and nothing about his injuries suggested to me that he’d sustained a fatal wound.”
Police said they heard gunshots while patrolling the area. Rich, who was 27 years old, was found conscious and breathing at the scene. But a little more than an hour later, he succumbed to his injuries at an area hospital, according to officials.

also indicating Rich was alive, but died at the hospital between 0420 hours (at scene, still alive) and 0557 hours at hospital.
The rest of information covered (and guessed at?) in Joe Hoft's guest column at his brother Jim's Gateway Pundit site, i dunno, maybe there is a tie-in, perhaps the Podesta email featured was talking about some other leak & leaker(?) who could be "...[made] an made example of..."?
Whatever the case, the tie-in would need be formed up (if possible) prior to that being talked about, other than along lines of :what a coinky-dink!: ???

And yet most doctors disrespect HIPPA for their youngest adult patients. 99% of the time they come out and tell the parent everything whilenthe young adult is standing right there. They act like such authorities and then I tell them you are breaking the HIPPA laws. They feel like fools. But older teens are adults under the law and their own parents don’t have the right to blindly hear the kid’s dx even for a wrist sprain or whatever.
Chilling. But I haven’t seen proof that Rich was at that hospital or that there was a VIP code for personnel around him. I’d like to see some of the easier facts here confirmed.
I thought I read he died within 2 hours of reaching the ER. It seems odd that they couldn’t save him, but in under 2 hours they would not have time to get the usual trauma workup and do all this that the poster claims.
Yeah, until you notice that the police report says he was declared dead within 90 minutes of being found.

The police haven’t exactly been forthcoming in this case. I take the “botched robbery” theory with a grain of salt.

HIPPA applies while living and 50 years post death.
I some places EMS can pronounce. Some can’t. I can’t tell you how pissed I was to be told “You have to come here right away” only to find out that “we can’t cut him down until you say he’s dead.” I said Bulls!t. If that were the case you should have been doing chest compressions.
When I first read about this case I thought he was shot through a major vessel of the lung or aortic arch.

What hospital do you work for? That is simply not true.
Residents are generally discouraged from thinking. But aside from that, this is not that situation at all.
