I see some posts from what I think are Boomer men and women here that men need to man up and get married. Especially in regard to the rising out of wedlock birth rates and low marriage rates of today's youth. I simply post this for them to consider that if they want things to change, the risk vs. reward thing needs to change too. Men need more out of marriage and need less risk. In the era of Tinder, marriage is not necessary for sex. I'm not endorsing that, I'm just recognizing the facts on the ground. I have been told that there is a woman for every man. Sure, if you assume that a man wants marriage and is willing to take what is being offered to him. Increasingly the answer is no to the first. And if not no to the first, it's no to the second.

Marriage today for a man is a schitt sandwich. If she is unfaithful or irresponsible and wants a divorce, she gets half no matter what. It has been proven that 20% of the wives cheat and one out of five children born in wedlock are fathered by someone other than the man to which she is married. Because of “feminism” women no longer treat the man with respect and the common decency that is deserved in a relationship. The courts are biased against the husband irrespective of the wife's actions. Until this changes no man with a business sense and wish for self preservation should get married.

"Single women" do vote Democrat, but that single women demographic is largely older divorced/widowed women and black women.

I think you need to look up a movement called “MGTOW”, which I have come to heartily endorse. Youtube has some excellent vids on it and you might gleam something of value from them.

Having experienced more than one of the pains men such as I have undergone, I now more than ever do not plan to advise younger males to follow the so-called “marriage” route.

Being broke and never again able to earn an honest living has simply lost its attraction as far as I am concerned.

I have little enough now to attempt to scrape by and work upon simply eating from day to day. I have no desire to lose what little I have left upon a fickle and deliberately evil woman who sees men such as I as nothing more than a meal ticket in any way, shape, or form.

When the entire system is configured to take all you have when you decide that marriage is not what you wanted and most needed it to be, what sane individual would repeat the same actions over and over again hoping that the next iteration will yield different results?

Most women I meet believe in what I call the rent-to-own model. Keep having casual sexual relationships until one of them produces a long term relationship which becomes a marriage.

The problem is most casual sex is men sleeping with women who are uglier than them. This has been proven by scientific research. Its not because of men. Men are more than willing to have casual sex with better looking women. But women will only have sex with men equal or higher up. If the man is equal they expect a lot in return to make up for that. If the man is higher up the dating market chart they expect less. So casual relationships revolve around men sleeping with women beneath them in the dating market. This can never turn serious because men only want to get serious with someone at their level.
