I hear the same story, told in different ways, all over New York City. ThereÂs 34-year-old Kate, who works in finance downtown. ÂSheÂs beautiful, smart, talented .â.â. everything going for her, her colleague tells me. ÂBut her boyfriend doesnÂt feel settled in his career, so she spent thousands of dollars to freeze her eggs as she waits for him to be ready.

Women picking childish men to marry are to blame for their having kids late in life.
The knee jerk reaction to fixing women’s problems is to change society. The knee jerk reaction to fixing men’s problems is to change men.
Sounds like a whole city of childish me me me babies.
BS. Reap what you sow. While men have issues YOU WOULD NOT BELIEVE the issues women have.
I think both men and women need to recognize that you can probably have Anything that you want; but you can’t have Everything you want.
Exactly. They keep moaning and can’t understand why men flee in disgust.
Well looky here. Another article using shaming language against men. Men who choose not to have children are “childish”. Not responsible, not thoughtful, not focused, but childish.
MGTOW
This article touches on how college educated women want to be with college educated men. And that there are more college educated women than men in this country.
Some may disagree, but seems to me, that women can be harshly judged if they are not with someone if equal or greater education/income/career status.
Does anyone ever harshly judge professional men who marry a secretary or file clerk or someone who is hired help in a department store?? Yet a professional woman marrying someone who works at Target in some hired help job is unusual.
34 year old Kate is a dumbass.
Land of the Snow Flakes.
Most of our kids are married, and we now have 18 grandchildren. Quite a few of them are over to our house today for Mother’s Day. But the younger kids are having problems finding someone who wants to marry, have children, and make a family. They are millenials.
>>>34 year old Kate is a dumbass.<<<
But the freezing her eggs part is smart right?
A New York woman blaming men for the plight of women. How utterly unsurprising.
would ol Kate go for a pre nup?
I don’t think it’s outside pressure that stops women from marrying down- it’s more something that runs counter to their psyche in most cases.
He wants to have sex and she wants to have kids. Problem solved.
Freezing her eggs for what?
Child-Rearing at 60? Good Lord.
I thought women delayed it cause of like, the patriarchy, and their career, feminism, marriage doesn’t matter, men are evil and cats?
plenty of kids up for adoption, freezing eggs seems like a waste of time and money...yes ol Kate is a dummy
Well, women who want children and family have to make decisions about their careers and lives.
Many people graduate from college at age 21 or 22. Then assuming people get on a career path, the woman faces a situation in which her fertility will have a noticeable decline in less than 10 years. Or look at another way she’s got less than 10 years to get the career on a firm foundation, so she can be in a position to take time to have a baby.
Everyone’s different, I realize. Just generalizing that it is harder to conceive the older a woman gets.
On a personal note, my wife and I had two children while she was in her mid 20s. We abandoned birth control entirely when she was 29 as we were open to more but we never got pregnant again. We know women can conceive into their 40s but I’m just saying the odds go down he longer women wait.
