The first thing is quit comparing Trump and Reagan. Night and Day in many ways. Unless Trump finds a way to move his agenda forward then it will be tough to rate him one way or another.
Reagan certainly did not have the kind of forces arrayed against him as does Trump and of course different times.
Reagan (God love him) was directly responsible for the forces of radical leftism that Trump now faces.
He naively trusted the Democrats to hold up their end of the bargain in 1986 when he signed the amnesty bill. They stabbed him in the back, and got millions of new voters in return, thus saving their party from certain death.
The enfant terrible that is the current radical left, would have perished, had Reagan not saved them.
In later years, Reagan said it was his biggest mistake.
