When I was a child, the iceman came and put a big chunk in our refrigerator. It lasted a long time.
Seems like a "refrigerator shell" for smaller pieces on a barge/ship/platform might be more viable and a hell of a lot quicker.

Wouldnt a desalinization plant be quicker & cheaper?

And it would be more globally friendly. Are they not concerned with climate change?

But if I'm not mistaken, that would put the Arabs in the position of relying on
Israeli technology and processes.
There, fixed it, based on a few conversations over the years with people involved in training for operations and maintenance for military hardware for Arab countries.

Dragging a chunk of ice sounds a lot cheaper to me then setting up a huge desalination plant.

"But... the polar bears! Wrong end."As if leftists could tell the North Pole from the South on a map. Besides, endangered species protectionism is reserved for cute. Ugly animals, slugs, humans, only get protected if it can hurt Capitalism.
Literalism spoils a lot of humor.

Wouldn’t a better solution be nuclear-powered desalinization plant? Or better yet, one powered by natural gas, which is plentiful in the Middle East?
