I disagree. The perp assaulted the cop, took his weapon and used it on him, then tried to flee and was shot.
You shoot when you’re in immediate danger. The man was fleeing and shot in the back. It’s pretty clear.
There is no evidence that Scott grabbed Officer Slager’s Taser. The video shows Slager walking over and dropping his Taser next to Scott’s body in an effort to make it look like that happened.

I think Slager got tired of fighting it. He moved to fire his lawyer, who is very good, a few months ago.
He was put in a bad situation that day. His department was understaffed and he knew he wouldn’t be getting backup anytime soon.
