There is no evidence that Scott grabbed Officer Slager’s Taser. The video shows Slager walking over and dropping his Taser next to Scott’s body in an effort to make it look like that happened.
I don’t think that was “planting a gun”, as was implied. Should he have left a weapon unattended?

The only evidence that Scott grabbed the officers taser is from Slagers testimony. The video does not show it, none of the other cops at the scene saw that happen. Slager committed murder as far as I can see in the 1st degree. He knew what he was doing and what he did and tried to cover up what happened.
To me a cop has to be held to a higher standard when committing violence against a citizen. In this case there is no reason for shooting, you don't kill a guy because you don't like him or because you don't want to run to catch him. Slager was a fat slob that didn't want to put forth the effort to catch the perp. Murder.
