“First you say yes, then you say no, tell me to stop, and then you say go. What kind of fool are you looking for?”
Whomever authors these articles are morons.
Is Microsoft ever going to Update Windows 10 so we can easily alphabetize our Favorites as we add or delete them?
I have an eight year old dell laptop that runs the latest MS Creators Update just fine.
Great! Microsoft isn't saying that ALL older machines WILL have trouble, only that SOME older machines MAY have trouble, and that it's worth being cautious and waiting for them to vet the new release before everyone grabs it unvetted.

Well, they're British, and easily excitable. But I don't think anything in the article is untrue. What did you find that was false?
I have not downloaded Creators’ update, and given that I had to restore my machine to factory settings once already (Windows 7), meaning that I had to PURCHASE Windows 10 the second time around, I will not be doing so.
Got me. They're rolling out features and capabilities a little at a time, and I expect that process to continue indefinitely, since they're trying to position Windows as a "subscription service", not a "buy-it-and-you're-done" product.
I've heard that patience is a virtue... :-)
I have an eight year old Mac.
No issues.
LOL
The only ‘puter in our system that’s W10 is the laptop that’s used to communicate with Grandma’s business partners through Outlook. (They picked it, not Grandma....)
...and no, I don’t like *this* Outlook any more than I did the previous versions, although Redmond seems to have finally discovered SpamBlockers after all of these decades.
This bit of news re Creators Update just pushed my schedule for UNIX up to the top of the pile.
I may leave W10 on that laptop, but that crass violation of the KISS principle is only going to be there as a backup and that only until I can get Outlook to play nice in whatever pew of UNIX I select.
Bull....
I’m too old to play these sillya$$ games.....
I noticed that MS tried 25 times on 25 April to install the latest update to my computer and failed each and every time. My computer is only six months old. This isn’t the first time an update to my computer has failed to install. The first time I found a work around to successfully install the update but can’t seem to find it this time. I’ll just wait until they fix the issue and assume it is their issue and not my computer. I don’t, currently, see a problem with W10 on my machine.
SCCM still can’t manually push major version updates to Windows 10 successfully. They better fix that or major enterprises will be on the anniversary update forever.
“You say goodbye, and I say hello.”
I installed it on a Dell C521 a kind of test computer and it killed the wifi and wired connection ,I think it Hates Dells but it works great on 2 older Lenovo laptops ,a T61 and a G530
One of the biggest problems microsoft has with these updates is their update mechanism. Compared to apt or yum, it’s just a primitive mess.

This is true.
I use apt and yum exclusively from Bash because I can't stand the stupid user-friendly GUI interfaces people have written to hide them. They're just as bad as the "Windows Update" GUI, IMO. Gimme a damn Bash prompt, thank-you-very-much!
Frankly, I'm ready to start using the various command line utilities that manage checking for, downloading, and installing Windows updates. I have spent far too many hours of my life already, waiting for that damn "no progress" bar. We hates it, we does.
