Wow. My husband wishes I would save everything we ever touch in hopes of that’s happening, but I won’t.
Our handy man works as a gardener by day and then does side jobs after work. His pants always look like that. Lol. Oh but he’s not Mexican
This fad has come, gone and is back again.
I remember, over 30 years ago, I would occasionally deliver cleaning fluid to a dry cleaners.
One trip the owner showed me a pair of worn out jeans that had a “certificate of authenticity” sewn on it certifying that the jeans had been worn by a “Montana cowboy”.
The cleaners owner told me the jeans were retailing for just over $100.
And that was over 30 years ago.
Fools and their money are soon parted.

If you’re dumb enough to buy them, they’re smart enough to sell them.

That happened to us on a Thanksgiving Day in the 80s——I will NEVER forget it.

We have a person for everything. Gardener, housekeeper, pool guy, handy man. I would love to still be able to do stuff but neither one of us can due to our backs. We broke them working our azzes off to pay for others free stuff. Now I am just happy we can afford to pay other people to do it.
Funny....I’m in a constant endeavor to keep my jeans CLEAN !
Good for you! At my age and after what I’ve paid in, I’ll take everything I’ve earned.
I have a friend who can barely walk due to agent orange. He told me someone said to him “You mean they give you xxxx amount of dollars a month?”
He replied “They don’t GIVE me a damned thing! I earned it.”
Hubby is a Vietnam vet and has never taken anything from government. He came home and got a job with benefits and never even used the VA. Not once.
We both worked our rears off to support our family and do things right. We stayed in a house (even though we could afford a McMansion) and paid it off. Now both retired we pay taxes all year long and send them a huge check on April 15th. . Just doesn’t seem right somehow.
Doesn’t seem right because it ain’t right. The city of Houston is begging the state to bail them out of their pension shortage....Saying they’re going to have to lay off a bunch of cops. I have to wonder If it wouldn’t be cheaper to buy everyone a gun and let the people protect themselves.
