If you look at a map, the part of that Volcano that sheared off in the past, was facing North America. Based on what I’ve read (and its minimal, but probably more than the average bear—and not nearly as much as a volcanist) It is feared that the next eruption will wash over the Caribbean and up into the DC area.

In fact, there are signs of tsunamis taking out parts of the Carolinas over the ages. History doesnt always repeat; but sure does resonate from time to time.

Same with the NW, Seattle area down to California..............
