ABOUT THE FLYER
The Kitty Hawk Flyer is a new, all-electric aircraft. It is safe, tested and legal to operate in the United States in uncongested areas under the Ultralight category of FAA regulations. Weve designed our first version specifically to fly over water. You dont need a pilots license and youll learn to fly it in minutes. We publicly revealed the working prototype in April 2017. The official Flyer will be available by the end of the year.

It could be useful as a police tool for riots and chases...or a criminal tool for drug deliveries over the WALL.

From their FAQ file:
How much will the vehicle cost? We will disclose the price when we launch the product later this year.

No word on price yet. References “$2000 off” for early orders, so scale appropriately.
As is too often the case, I’m surprised most of the responses above are naysayers. Thing looks like fun, and does what it can to evade regulation.

...
Flying ultralights will invalidate a lot of life insurance policies, but if they say it’s safe, it must be safe.
