I started steaming my eggs because I could not get them to peel.
Put about an inch of water in the pan. Put in the steamer basket and bring the water to boil. Put the eggs in the basket and cover. Set the timer for thirteen minutes. Remove the eggs (after the timer goes off) and put under cold running water. Use the jar trick to peel.
Even using very fresh eggs you still get nice eggs. Usually.
Nothing is 100% except God.
I tried steaming a few weeks ago and loved it. I think the reason is moisture ‘sweats’ out, necessarily causing air to replace it, conferring an ‘aging’ process in minutes instead of weeks. The jar thing is new, can’t believe I’ve never heard of it. Thanks.
