This weeks edition of Time Magazine named former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick to its list of the 100 Most Influential People.
The list breaks down the chosen 100 into five categories: Pioneers, Artists, Leaders, Titans, and Icons. Kaepernick appears in the Icons group.
In the Time Magazine profile, former SF 49ers Coach Jim Harbaugh praised the controversial quarterbacks protest last year of the Star Spangled Banner, when he boldly and courageously confronted perceived inequalities in our social-justice system by refusing to stand for the national anthem.
Harbaugh made no mention of Kaepernicks penchant for wearing socks denigrating law enforcement officers with pictures of pigs dressed in police uniforms.

Start of a song?
Time, time, time what has become of me
Haha...every year, I think “There is no way they can add anybody to that list anymore that makes the award stupider and more irrelevant than it was last year!” and I am always surprised.
I guess I can chalk it up to “Never underestimate the ability of Liberals in large groups to generate new levels of stupidity.”
I vote for PC coward.
CK was sitting out the national anthem years before it made the headlines. Bottom line, he’s lazy and doesn’t care. Notice how long it took for someone to give him the idea of race to answer the negative publicity. He wasn’t smart enough to come up with an excuse within 48 of being outted. Someone else had to feed him the line.
Don’t they own Sports Illustrated? That would explain that rag’s SJW fervor and support of homosexual everything.
He certainly influenced the NFL to lose ratings.
He most definitely did.
Also in another article, the NFL was attributing some of their low ratings from last season to "not scheduling the right games for TV viewing".
They still don't get it.
This gives me one more reason to dislike that turd, Jim Harbaugh.
They are hoping that we don't get it.
>>Has Kaepernick found another job yet?<<
Haberdasher.
Hopefully, he'll be going away now and this will die off, but I doubt that it's gone entirely because the thought is now on people's minds that they could do this and no one can stop them (even if they can, in fact, get stopped from repeating it, that's not what they're thinking).
yup...
So influential he influenced himself into the unemployment line. Now let’s see if he can influence himself to employment and ever throw the ball again.
That’s about as idiotic as if they named Maxine Waters as one of the hundred most influential people. This guy is a total embarrassment, unemployed one too. That’s a great measure of influence.
Time Magazine was once, a long, long time ago(no pun intended) a news magazine of some importance. To be quite honest I can’t believe in the age of the 24 hour news cycle and the Internet that the rag is even still being printed.
Yeah, he influenced a winning team into the cellar and influenced a lot of fans to not give a damn.
Gotta have something to fill up the tables at your doctors office.
wnat’s “Time???”
certainly not one of America’s 100,000 most influential publications
(have seen exactly one copy of Time in the last 15 years or so.......and that was in a garbage can...)

Colin helped me recover hours formerly allocated to NFL game watching. Now my Sunday afternoons are free as are Monday nights.
No more cable bill, no more ESPN, no more NFL tchotchkes. Feels good to be free of pro-football, thanks to Colin!
