This weeks edition of Time Magazine named former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick to its list of the 100 Most Influential People.
The list breaks down the chosen 100 into five categories: Pioneers, Artists, Leaders, Titans, and Icons. Kaepernick appears in the Icons group.
In the Time Magazine profile, former SF 49ers Coach Jim Harbaugh praised the controversial quarterbacks protest last year of the Star Spangled Banner, when he boldly and courageously confronted perceived inequalities in our social-justice system by refusing to stand for the national anthem.
Harbaugh made no mention of Kaepernicks penchant for wearing socks denigrating law enforcement officers with pictures of pigs dressed in police uniforms.

Time doesn’t know the difference between influential and failure. Which is not new news.
This nation is as confusing as Bruce Jenner or, is it just confused? I'm confused. It is encouraging though that no team has hired Caperdink...yet.
Anyone who can take down the NFL and damage ESPN along with it is influential.
Yes
He’s very influential.
He single handedly killed the NFL.
Now if the category is “100 Most Worthless” individuals, I would agree.
Heck, Kaeperdick isn’t even among the 100 most influential athletes. What has he achieved with his stoopid “protest”??? Just some chattering among the mentally defective left.
His 15 minutes of fame are over. Now that he is a free agent that nobody wants, you wonder how long it will be before he is saying, “Would you like fries with that?”
It was a magazine whose owner got paid off by Hitler’s BFF, Joe Kennedy, not to print the truth about JFK’s affair or “marriage” to an East German spy.
+ 1
And Time is named as “one of the top 10 cat litter materials”. That’s all it’s fit for.
Influential can mean good or bad,his was a bad influence but created a lot of talk.
.
We’re not dealing with “real inequalities” here, according to Jim Harbaugh. “Perceived Inequalities” are the fare of the day. Seriously. Is there a fact anywhere in Colin’s future?
He definitely had an effect on the 49ers’ draft picks this year.....
It took me a minute to remember who he was.
Second tier football player who only had a chance to go to college because he was raised by adoptive parents after his black father ran out on him.
Ain’t no icon to me
