Mensch
Noun, pl menschen, (mench)
A decent, upright, mature, and responsible person.
Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the Word for the Day in a sentence. The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. Amuse me, entertain me, enlignten me for extra credit.
Where is my class graphic? Hmm, I put it in there.
Roll Call
Neil Gorsuch now sits on the Bench
He’s brilliant and moral, a mensch
He’ll help break the ties
Fed by liberal lies
Thus partially removing their stench
Some rabid progressive types are gonna hate that the word “MEN” is the basis of MENTOR and that it alludes to goodness.
My favorite Yiddish word. If you do not believe in truth, beauty, and the American Way it is hard to find a mensch. Leftists are filled with hatred for everything Patriots love. Living in hate does not purify one’s soul. It is nigh on to impossible to find a mensch on the left.
OOPS! .....MENsch and MENtor
Hillary Clinton is definitely NOT a mensch!
Happy now?
Good one!
Lettuce not mensh around, there’s a real man in town.
A haiku:
Trump’s a real mensch
Unlike that dead side of beef
Of her I say “meh”
By my count that is 2 Yiddish words in one haiku; a record for me, and 50% of all the Yiddish I know.
Wake me up when I can use “tuchas” and “chutzpah”.
Just defending the principle of ownership and of following the instructions of crew and law enforcement.
We would be critical of a young black man who got “manhandled” after refusing to follow police instructions. Not sure why the rules are different for an old Asian man.
Rule 21, entitled Refusal of Transport, is very different because it clearly and expressly covers situations in which a passenger who has already boarded the plane can be removed The rule, which unlike the denied boarding rule does provide for removal from the aircraft at any point, lists some two dozen justifications including: unruly behavior, intoxication, inability to fit into one seat, medical problems or concerns, etc. But nowhere in the list of some two dozen reasons is there anything about over booking, the need to free up seats, the need for seats to accommodate crew members to be used on a different flight etc.
yeah, a prudent person would bitch but acquiesce to the request to get off. that in no way justifies the manner in which this guy was forced off the plane and there is little doubt that he's going to be one very rich elderly Asian man.
Oh You can. You can.
Trumps a real mensch
His style is in his chutzpah.
Unlike that dead side of beef
Who is permanently parked on her tuchas
Of her I say meh
I don’t agree. He isn’t boarded until the manifest is completed and the door is closed.
Ultimately, it’s their plane. If they ask you to get off, you are entitled to compensation. Not to act like a toddler.
Airline screwed things up with their logistics, sure. Could have done things better, re: better bribes for volunteers.
But at the end of the day, it’s their plane and this man was uncivil and has no legs to stand on legally. he was disobeying the crew and basically engaged in defiant trespass.
Entitled, selfish, uncivil. He’s not hero. He’s a jerk.
Other people got off and grumbled. Didn’t act like toddlers.
Excellent A++++
All true. A ++
