It doesn’t help that you don’t remember the 60’s or 70’s.

He was one heel of a guitar player. Try doing the triads for the opening of Love Stinks and you'll see.
I met him once back in the 80s. Nice guy.
In Pace Requiescat.

I remember seeing them in Boston opening for larger acts in the late 60s.
They were almost regulars at the Tea Party and The Ark.

Heard this last night and the first thing I thought of was that when Don Rickles heard the news he said:
"God, I know celebrities die in sets of three but why do I end up in the group with but some obscure hockey-puck musician who can't even afford to use his first name on promotional materials? I guess number three will be the substitute organ grinder from Central Park."

Fox And Friends did a quick tribute to him at the top of the hour. Not bad.

Saw them, Lynard Skynnard and ZZ Top at Tulane Stadium back in 75’. Was a great concert even if the NOPD made a phalanx and beat up half the crowd on the field with their riot sticks.

They were good in the early days but then they went complete pop and I couldn’t stand them. He was a nice guy though.
