I don’t like this, but you do know that he said on multiple occasions that “nobody would mess with us” right?
You do know that he has asked to build up the US military, right?
Let’s see what plays out. I don’t even have confirmation of an attack, thought there is chatter.
Remember, even Reagan had the U.S.S. New Jersey shell the Syrian Army in Lebanon to bits.
Who exactly "messed with us?" LOL.
Pres Trump confirmed it with statement issued from Mar-a-Lago.
Wonder which Trump-Russia angle the snooze media will find in the Syrian strike
Thanks for your reasoned response!
I trust Trump’s intel - especially carrying this operation out, while dining with Chinese Prez - that all of the armchair/basement quarterbacks, here.
LS I don’t like this at all, he said no one would mess with us, how was this chemical attack messing with us!!! Why do WE have to be involved in what these DAMNED dictators do in their own countries!!!
I would not put it past Assad to slaughter some of his own people
and place them around the strike zone, to show civilians were killed.
The MSM would explode over video of that.
I usually agree with you but the Syrians aren’t messing with us ... Assad was winning and would never have been so stupid to pull a chem attack now ...Rubio and Graham have just released happy statements ... Trump also said that we need to stay out of the mess and let the Russians handle it ...
The Neo-cons, Soros, Saudi’s, and Israel won big tonight ... If Trump ousts Bannon , i’m done ...we’ll know what is really going on here
How did Assad mess with "us"? ISIS kills children by the hundreds every single day. They set them on fire. They chop off their heads. Now we bomb the guy who has been killing ISIS.
If History is any indication (and you of all people on this forum knows history) this is not going to turn out well.
We probably killed a bunch of Russian advisors in this raid. We probably killed a bunch of children in this raid.
This was a knee jerk attack. I don't think it was well planned and the fallout is not going to be good.
JMHO.
I agree, lets see it play out before we make a final condemnation. Its a strike on a base that hold chemical weapons, not an invasion. I trust Trump will do the right thing.
however, if we find out he’s just doing globalist bidding, the gloves will be off.
Despite some concern, I stand with Trump.
Nonintervention is powerfulONLY when everyone knows you are WILLING AND ABLE TO INTERVENE.
Hopefully that was accomplished tonight.
As I see it, Trump and his team determined it was time to make a probing attack, like a jab in boxing, in part to test reactions and set up the upcoming series of moves.
Nonintervention as a general policy is good, but PACIFISM—or perceived lack of credibility to act (a la Obama)— IS A LOSING POSITION.
