A single mom dressed up like a man so that she could take her six-year-old daughter to her highly-anticipated father-daughter school dance — but the school's principal refused to let them attend.
Knowing how much her daughter, Gracie, wanted to attend the dance even though her father was out of the picture, Amy Peterson, of Henry County, Georgia, decided she'd take her daughter to the dance.
The conform to the dance's theme though, the duo decided that Amy would attend dressed up like a man.

Whether the woman never married, was abandoned by the father, drove the father away or the father passed away, she should have called the principal in advance and inquired whether she could escort her little girl.
Failing that, she should have asked a brother, uncle or male cousin to escort her daughter.
Just showing up and expecting to be included was too in the face, like a political statement for women’s rights or transgender rights.
And the little girl is the one who suffered for it.
No, she was teaching her daughter how to be dishonest.
If she really wanted the child to be able to go, why not have her own father or another male relative stand in? Most likely this mother is an attention addict.
And father-daughter dances for 6-year-olds is stupid. Should be saved for girls 12 and older.

I’m for men’s rights. Men have a right to be with their child too. Why in a divorce everything is divided 50/50 but women get custody of the children and men have to pay child support?
No wait those kids are his too. Both parents should have joint custody, unless one or both is proven to be bad parents and both should split costs, unless one can’t work for some reason.
They are trying to drive fathers out of the picture. By “they” I mean Women’s libs and other freaks. This has to stop. This story is an example.
My kid sister's youngest had his Dad die when he was 15...and he had been very sick for about 5 years before he died.I tried to be a substitute male role model for him and we were pretty close during that time.Maybe I played a slightly positive...slightly helpful...role in his life.I certainly tried to.
His older sisters were old enough to have not been affected,development-wise,by their Dad's health issues as much as their kid bother.

The really sad part here is that everybody seems to go after the mom. THE DAUGHTER should be the subject here. Perhaps the Principal should have let her in, I don’t know. But I do know that it is no fault of the child that she is in this position and and calling kids B******s does not in any way relate to her problem. Really??? Blame the child for not having a Father in the home? I adopted my son at the age of 2, have NEVER called him a B******, and believe he is probably a better man than some of your kids. Nuf said!!

Perhaps. Or perhaps this mother got herself a sperm donor and then cast him aside. I have seen that scenario. And, in my opinion, she just wanted to ruin this for the little girls who do have fathers.

If she were honest with herself she would not she can’t be a “father” to this child. I don’t care what people say “I’m a mother and father to my child”. No you are not!! There are only jobs men can do and only jobs women can do. This is why it takes a mother and father to raise children.

The mother is the one overreacting. If she planned some other outing with her daughter, all would be fine. Instead she plays the victim and seeks a big audience, with her daughter as another prop in the performance.
Bastardy works to create a stable social order. Empowering single mothers doesn’t. Getting offended about that doesn’t change the facts.

You know RedWulf I’ve said that all through this thread with out saying it. THANK YOU for coming out and saying it. I said it Tommy Sotomayor style, but then again I’ve seen first hand because of him what the out come of these children bring on society. They won’t grow up to get married and have kids, oh no just more kids by single moms just like their single mom.
I’ll say it and use old fashion language to say it.
