The "talkie" version of The Wizard of Oz, from 1939, concludes by portraying the whole story as being merely a dream--an utterly lame cop-out that I have found infuriating since I saw the movie for the first time on a black-and-white television in 1959.

Also Life of Pi, it ends with him saying he pretty much made the events of last two hours of the movie up
