An urban dog hunting club aims to help eradicate New York City's vermin. Ryders Alley Trencherfed Society (RATS) was started by member Richard Reynolds in 1995, at the bequest of a park superintendent who had a rat problem.

There is a breed of dog called the Jack Russell terrier, and a similar-looking but more rugged variety called a rat terrier.
We have just such a dog in Xena, our Warrior Princess. If it moves Xena is on it, lizards, bees, houseflies, but so far no rats or mice.
My friend and I are bringing our Jack Russell’s to the farm today, think it’s going to be a bad day for the Rats and Groundhogs!
Trump could put cardboard cut outs of Chuckie the clown, Pelosi, Franklin, and several other democrat rats with a live rats hanging off them on the South Lawn....
"Who let the dogs out" playing in the background...
Schnauzers were bred to capture rats too. That’s why they clip their ears originally.
I was hoping to see a few political RATS in that picture.
Those were barn rats, politicians are sewer and swamp rats...😂
My rescued JackRussell was the best at cleaning our pool and garden area, in Ft.Laud.
His record was 3 snakes, 4 rats, and a possum. One snake made it to the pool bottom but when he came up, Jake made the dash on deck 30’ and beat the snake against an awning support..
My wife and boys loved Jake so much, they didn’t like the idea of trying to copy him. So we got a Norrbottenspets (male), Carlton(The Doorman), that’s his job, No rats to chase where we are now, just a few Tree Rats and a few Black Bears.
Norbies are smart, fast, great at coursing and hunting.

My neighbor has a JRT. “A good dog! Unless you’re a rat. Then he’s a very, very bad dog.”
They just have this thing about rats I guess.
Fricken rats. I hate rats. We have rats in our attic right now that our pest guy has been poisoning to get rid of them. That’s about the size.
Did I say I hate rats?!?!
My female JRT was the smartest dog I’ve ever had. Loved people too. Especially children. Maybe it was the fact that the kids boundless energy matched that of my Izzy dog. 40 acres of farmland and forest was a perfect haunt for her. We never had any occasion for her to rat hunting but she was a terror death sentence to any rabbit found in the fields.
Yeah, but how many DemocRATS? And many of them voted more than once, or voted illegally?
I rescued a Pattefdale terrier ftom tbe pound
and thought I’d be fostering her forever because she was kind of a spaz. WRONG. I adopted her out to a farmer within a few days who adores her for the work she does killing rats. She has a place of honor in the family because she is so loving with the kids.
Try a product called Ramik.I use it on the farm, very effective on vermin.
Just caught my misspell. That’s Patterdale.
Cool.
Got a dog that’s half Chihuahua, half pit bull. She’ll kill anything that crawls.
” If it moves Xena is on it,”
Small animal movement is programmed into their DNA like the Terminator’s target acquisition.
Our rat terrior sits in a window sill and watches the squirrels/chipmunks outside. The ones that are 50’ away and running across the yard set her into a tizzy more than the ones 10’ away rooting around for bird seed.
Now if they would only go after the democRATS!
My previous pair of dogs, George and Kramer, died within a month of each other about 8 years ago. George was part boxer and probably the sweetest dog I’ve ever had. I sometimes watched in amazement as he saw something way across our large yard and bolted. In a flash he had grabbed a rat, shook it, and broken its neck. I miss that guy.
