FULL TITLE: Ex-Penn State president convicted of child endangerment for failing to protect Jerry Sandusky's sex abuse victims
Penn State University's former president Graham Spanier has been convicted of child endangerment over his handling of the Jerry Sandusky sex abuse scandal.
A jury in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, found Spanier guilty of one count of child endangerment.
They determined that he was responsible for victims who were sexually assaulted by former Penn State assistant football coach Sandusky in a school locker room shower in 2001.
Sandusky, a former assistant football coach, was convicted of abusing 10 boys in 2012. He is behind bars serving a 30 to 60 year sentence.

Since Hillary wasn’t corronated, there is no one to pardon him.
Graham Spanier, noted Wife Swapping Studies Scholar, also whitewashed the Mikey Mann investigation at the State Penn.
This is a rare story indeed. Justice winning over “The Program”. “The Program” follows no rules, and nothing shall be allowed to harm “The Program”.
One day, perhaps, Universities will be about learning and not football or basketball.
“Penn State”. 90,000 students whose only purpose is life support for a football team.
Even better if we are lucky maybe someone will beat him and Sandusky up in jail like they did Jared from Subway.

I am the Penn State sycophant departed.
He will probably only receive a slap on the wrist.
Truly uninformed statement.
This is very good news. This guy is a loathsome scumbag who let those little boys down and went on to CONTINUALLY lie to protect Penn State’s LIES about global warming data that was all fake. VERY GOOD NEWS INDEED!
I’m sure Penn State is a fine university - I’ve worked extensively with at least one graduate that I know of, and he had nothing but good things to say about the school. But the priorities of the athletic department and especially the football program were warped. I have no idea why the NCAA didn’t shut that program down for a few years so they could take the time to reflect and make sure their AD and coaching staff have a proper perspective on what really matters in life.
Probably so, but Spanier’s credibility is shot and he’ll never get another gig in education at any level. I’ll take that victory.
Spanier is an uber-leftist. He tried to destroy the college republicans there in 2003, 2004. I am hoping for some jail time.
This gets into a grey-area. The NCAA is charged with protecting the integrity of the sport & the concept of the student-athlete. When the local community’s appointed officials refuse to investigate, I guess the NCAA had to act, but it’s really a second-best solution.
Don’t forget: shutting down the program hurts people that had nothing whatever to do with Sandusky, his actions or the piss-poor supervision of the program by the university officials charged with that duty.
He also allowed women’s basketball coach Renee Portland to be smeared by a Gay-Lesbian Student group that had no evidence other that a disgruntled player. Spanier abetter that little bit of character assassination.
Justice served. Spanier was more about protecting the football program than the safety of children.
