Very impressive AI can now bear humans one-on-one in poker. Chess, a game of perfect information, is easy compared to poker.

This is terrible; millions of “professional poker players” will end up in breadlines.

They make this sound new but it’s not. Why get into a pile driving competition with a steam engine?

Relatives of the people who would actually sit in front of a TV and watch a poker game on ESPN?
What's next, ESPN's Wednesday night Bingo from the rec room of the Happy Valley Retirement Home in Las Vegas, featuring current world champion Esther Arbuckle, 87, resident of American House in Sun City, AZ......?

All this automation wouldn’t be so bad if we had only 5% of the current world population.
Instead, we have millions and even billions of people who will be thrown out of work with no real hope of finding employment. (I drive a school bus at the moment, so I’m on the chopping block.)
The robots will bring a train-load of human misery and they don’t even know it.
