A man has been shot dead after grabbing a solider's gun at Orly airport in Paris, French officials say.
He was killed by the security forces in a shop after seizing the weapon in the airport's southern terminal.
The airport has been shut down after what the authorities say was an extremely serious incident and passengers not allowed to disembark.
A security operation is continuing with bomb disposal experts involved and a search for any possible accomplices.
Police also want to make sure the dead man was not wearing an explosive belt......

A man?
No name or description. Isn’t that convenient???
Did he leave his camel in long-term parking?
There was a separate shooting that may be related. The story’s really evolving fast, with Sky now reporting the guy who died at the airport had previously exchanged gunfire with police on an approach road.
Get the info on the time and date of services, there’s a Hawaiian judge who probably wants to attend.
England is focused on Brexit so former PM Gordon Brown is speaking about his opinions and his plan now. Not a fan of him.
Orly’s south of Paris, that first shooting was north of Paris. Still in fairly close proximity, though.
Sky just broke away from Brown. He was talking to Scots about his ideas to keep them in the UK after Brexit. But now it is back to Paris news.
The goofy online version at YouTube still runs reports over usual commercials on Sky News and now it went to a technology show hosted by Gemma Morris.
BBC News is not on the news either. The Flimon version is on a travel show.
Filmon that is.
BBC has updated its version at link with the notion of shooting at different location before the airport incident.
doing headlines. It is about as much as Fox News would say.
Shots heard by people waiting for flight to Tel Aviv. Shots near Turkish Airlines. Do we seee a pattern here?
BBC is back on the news in depth. They found one of our citizens in France. An American named Elly. She heard the shots and saw police running and was evacuated. She was unable to board a plane and is moved out. The BBC reporter is stuck on a plane and is watching things from his window. The BBC reporter was even lucky to be in the airport because some flights were diverted.
Wow that sucks. The news is slow on the Orly shooting and has not caught up with the new shootings in Israel. The Muzzies are active.
The French and particularly Parisian economies heavily depend on tourism. Will definitely be down this spring and summer. Damascus on the Seine not so appealing.
