Yes, the jungle training was excellent and we had some fun too when an earthqake divereted all chopper support out of country and we literally ate nothing for four days in jungle, except for sugar cane and muddy water filtered thru our t-shirts into canteens and a double/thriple dose of water purification (we had given all our c-rats to some jungle dweller our second day out who was snakebit on the trail and our medic had attened too - poor family lived in a two sided lean-to fashioned out of leaves, cans flattened, cardboard, etc.)
Winter warfare training at Camp Drum NY was awesome and the desert warfare training at Bliss, Carson, in Kalifornia and Washington State were all decent. Being the 82d we always jumped in and then humped, but the worse of the lot was at Carson being destroyed by the Ruski Mech force and dust/heat.
