Depends a great deal upon just why a given screen name was banned, I suppose. I do know that I’ve seen previously “banned” FReepers return, so it’s not technically impossible. Whether the account history, signup date, home page, etc. would remain, I couldn’t say.

I was permanently banned for years. Every so often I would check to see if I could post, I couldn’t.

Circumstances changed and things I was banned for (unjustly, IMHO), reversed. It looked like I had been Nostradamus.

Anyway, I sent Jim a snail mail “Letter” making my case and asking politely to be reinstated.

I was quickly reinstated.
